Duck Duck Moose Wins Parents’ Choice Gold Awards for Top Kids Apps

Palo Alto, California – Independent children’s app developer Duck Duck Moose wins two more Parents’ Choice Gold Awards for its mobile apps. Word Wagon and Musical Me! both won Parents’ Choice Gold Awards. All Duck Duck Moose titles have received Parents’ Choice Awards, and Duck Duck Moose is the only publisher that has received eight Parents’ Choice Awards in the Mobile Apps category.

Word Wagon is a letters and phonics learning app that includes more than 100 words (including Dolch words), each with engaging illustrations, animations, and sounds. Claire Green, President of Parents’ Choice, writes: “Levels throughout the categories… begin with learning the names of the letters, move to learning the sounds the letters make, and progress to mastering spelling words with up to six letters. Self-propelled learning may begin with a game, but it’s no joke. The app design takes touch screen technology seriously, and uses it to its age-appropriate best.”
